The Power Of A Vision Board

The past few months in lockdown has really helped me realise the next steps I want to take in my life but equally it has made me mega frustrated as the current situation really doesn’t send ‘this is the time to make your dreams happen’ vibes.

I am extremely grateful that I have went through the pandemic healthy, safe and so has all my family but I don’t want to lose sight of what I am aiming for.

To help with this I have created a vision board! I am spending so much time at a desk working from home with no social interaction so it can create quite low vibes so I realized I needed something that made me smile and motivated me every time I saw it.

I believe that having a tangible representation of my dreams has really helped me step up into the person I want to be.

Here is how I did it:

Step 1 – Seek Clarity

What are your goals? Personal and career. Is there anything you have been desiring that you felt you couldn’t have? Use this time to journal and seek clarity on what you truly desire.

Step 2 – Find Representation

Find photos and quotes that represent your dreams. I find Pinterest is really good for this.

Step 3- Pick your tools

Decide how you are going to display your vision board. I personally choose to have both a physically pin board and make a digital screensaver vision board that I have uploaded on all my devices.

Step 4- The fun part

Design your board using the photos and quotes you have found in step 2. Remember, your vision board can be as simple or as extravagant as you want there are no rules!

Step 5- Display and make those dreams a reality

Place your vision board somewhere you can see daily so you can be reminded of your desires and inspired to make them a reality.
